SUMMARY:Dryway (III+/IV)
DESCRIPTION:The Dryway is one of New England's best-loved release runs — 
 a tight\, continuous stretch of the Deerfield below the Fife Brook dam tha
 t comes alive on scheduled release days\, and it packs a lot of punch into
  just a few miles. With releases scheduled both Saturday and Sunday\, this
  is a full weekend of paddling\, so we'll run it twice and take our time.\
 n\nWe'll keep a relaxed pace and run laps if the group is up for it. There
 's plenty of camping nearby\, and the area makes an easy basecamp for the 
 weekend — bring what you need to make a full two days of it.\n\nRequired
  gear: a river-running whitewater kayak (for first-timers)\, helmet\, PFD\
 , and a drytop or drysuit\, plus adequate food and water for the day. The 
 Deerfield runs cold even in July.\n\nTHIS IS NOT A BEGINNER TRIP. PADDLERS
  MUST HAVE PREVIOUS CLASS III+ EXPERIENCE\, BE ABLE TO SELF-RESCUE\, AND H
